Growing up I used to eat the green strawberries that grew on the side of our house.
It was very rare that I ever let them go long enough to get red and ripe.
The new girlfriend’s mom turned me on to what strawberries are really supposed to taste like.
You know how when you have had the best strawberries you have ever eaten, your mouth goes all puckery but when you eat a piece of candy it just all sweet with no pucker?
Well, the strawberries at Las Posas Berries are like that.

Las Posas strawberries are like the kobe beef of strawberries.
The only way I could describe this is that it is like being in 9th grade and making out with the hottest girl in the school and she is wearing strawberry flavored lip gloss except that instead of it tasting all artificial it tastes like it came from a Whole foods.
I bought an extra case for this crazy charity event I was supposed to go to tonight in San Diego that is being held at one of my millionaire internet marketing friend’s house.
Las Posas Berries only have strawberries available from the late spring and early summer.
They are grown by a Japanese family who have held the land for generations.

They even have those old tubular fabric Japanese fish flags flying out front.
The soil looked so rich that it almost looked like it would taste good sprinkled over ice cream.
The strawberries were about $30 a tray and worth every single cent.
Just plug the intersection between Las Posas and Lewis Rd. in Camarillo into your GPS.
From the intersection they are just slightly north east on Lewis road. It says Las Posas Berries on the sign.
