Just from the name I wasn’t expecting much.  When I went inside it was a Jewish deli so I expected even less.  Being a Jew myself, I don’t look at Jews as being fine culinary experts.  Tried quite a few things on the menu and I was actually quite pleased.  I’d even go back there.

The first big surprise was the chopped liver.  Chopped liver I think of something really heavy and overly salted especially at a Deli.  It tasted so light in fact it almost tasted like you’re eating something vegetable.  I also got the Cheese Blitzes.  I thought they were a little bit on the sweet side.  The jelly that was with them made them way, way, way too sweet but they were still decent.  The lox and cream cheese was just great.

The best thing on their menu is their New York Pastrami sandwich.  Pastrami is normally super salty and way full of artificial preservatives and you can literally just taste the chemicals.  These guys really nailed it on the Pastrami.  I don’t know how to make Pastrami but it tasted like they just sliced it off the cow and made it fresh this morning.  The meat was tender.  It fell apart in your mouth.  It literally just tasted so fresh like the chicken liver did you would almost say it was like a vegetable dish.

We had a private room.  It was all glassed in, quite modern.  If you have an event for up to maybe fifteen people I can’t recommend this place highly enough.  It was just wonderful.
